otto and hank – a studio session

i’ve got so many sessions to blog! this is a family session from last fall that i absolutely loved! what can i say about this family that hasn’t already been said? i’ve been photographing them for almost 6 years now and i simply adore them. last summer they moved to dallas and you can imagine how honored i was that they chose to return to kansas city for their annual family portraits. it’s been so amazing to watch these little guys grow over the years. their beautiful mama is more like a friend than a client. one look at her and you can see why her boys are so gorgeous!

this family photo session took place at our studio. i love the natural light and the beautiful wood floors here. and of course, mel had the boys dressed perfectly as always.

talking to otto, i really couldn’t believe how grown up he is. if you’ve been following the hocus focus blog for a few years, you’ll remember him as mantle baby. his newborn photos were some of my favorites i’ve ever done.

and then there’s hank. oh, sweet hank with those giant eyes and adorable curls. this little man can melt your heart in the blink of an eye.

and how sweet are these brothers hugging on each other? i won’t say whether there was or wasn’t any bribery involved.

and with these two lovable boys, melanie never has a dull moment in her life.

seriously, could you ever say no to this face? yeah, right…

melanie, thank you for allowing me to document your family all these years. it means so much to me that you would travel from dallas to kansas city for us to work together again. i can’t wait to see you guys in dallas this year!

if you have at least three families who would like to book portrait sessions in another city, shoot me an email. i love travel sessions!
