We are currently searching for 1-2 interns for the 2012-2013 school year.
Below is a list of duties, responsibilities and opportunities to learn in a fun, creative environment.
PHOTO SHOOTS : Interns attend photo shoots (portrait and editorial, including Her Life Magazine fashion and cover shoots), assist with equipment and are often able to shoot along side me. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the basics of photography including location scouting, lighting, composition, interacting and connecting with your subjects and more.
STUDIO WORKDAY : Interns are required to attend one studio workday each month where they will learn about the business side of photography, including marketing, blogging, social media, client communication, file storage, data backup, and other special projects.
POST-PROCESSING/PHOTOSHOP TRAINING : Interns are able to join me for hands-on post-processing and Photoshop training. I share the tools and techniques that I have learned over the last 8 years in the industry.
PORTFOLIO REVIEW/PERSONAL PROJECTS : I also offer a portfolio review/critique of the intern’s current body of work, assist them in setting photography related goals and implementing personal photography projects to push the limits of their creativity, expand their skills and develop their own personal style.
Our interns have flexible hours. We simply work around your school and extracurricular activity schedule. We ask that you attend at least two photo shoots and one studio work day each month. Post processing/Photoshop training and personal projects are optional and can be done as your schedule allows.
