happy habitat by karrie kaneda

you’ve seen happy habitat by karrie kaneda on the blog before.  i had the pleasure of working with karrie again when she called to say she was in need of new images for a couple of upcoming blog features.  we chose an outdoor location for our last shoot.  this time, i went to her studio to capture her in her element.

karrie designs the most amazing, colorful, and eco-friendly textiles.  everything is machine-washable and items range from 50×60″ throws to iPad sleeves.  i absolutely love karrie’s work – i have one of her throws in my bedroom and showcase a few of her pillow covers during the holidays.

i would be remiss if i didn’t thank the best assistant ever.  miss phoebe did an excellent job of holding our calls and taking messages while we worked.  phoebe, give me a call when your parents tell you its time to get a job!

i always look forward to opportunities when i can connect with and promote other local, small businesses.  karrie inspires me on so many levels – she is a mom, a small business owner, and an entrepreneur at heart.  be sure to look for happy habitat by karrie kaneda blog features on made in the middle and meg biram.
